I realize that the dash is experimenting with different like/dis-like text, so I will save most of my comments for when it is done. Just a thought though, too much clutter under the avatar is distracting and not needed, in my opinion.

Just a couple of suggestions:

If it is inevitable that some of the 'being tested' features will find their way onto the forum, I think a good and simple idea would be a thumbs up or down button option for each post. A simple thumb up or a thumb down icon with a 'counter' next to it. This could be placed underneath the signature by the edit/quote/multi-quote buttons. Simple and effective way to anonymously recognize a good post.

Also, under the avatar, a total count of how many times each member has posted a useful/helpful post, as indicated by his total thumb up/down count for all of his posts.

Simple and effective.

Just some thoughts

I like the thanks idea it just needs to be cleaned up some to avoid clutter mainly at the bottom of the post telling you all the people that thanked it. A number of people would be fine and simple.

I hope the idea sticks around
