Thread: I'm voting for a G35 subforum.... :)

well, not necessarily.. here was my logic/reasoning/illogic.. whatever you want to call it, right or wrong:

1) yes a lot of former SR20 owners have moved on to Subaru, Mazda, Toyota even a few Honda guys.. but the G35's are made by Nissan, we use a lot of the same vendors and already have relationships with those vendors. I think adding any other Nissan/Infiniti sub-sections would be cool, but I'm not down with other makes on this forum. Most of us here are Nissan enthusiasts..

2) the G35 is the replacement for the G20. We have a 240SX section, it never received the SR20 in the U.S. True, a lot of people put SR20's in S13's and S14's ... and that is why the 240 section was created - to aid with SR20DET swaps into the chassis.. but still.. just like the G35, the 240 doesn't have an SR20 from the factory..

3) going to a new forum after making a transition from SR20 boards is tough, you are suddenly a newb, and part of being a newb is learning who's advice you can trust, who is credible, etc.. here we already know who is credible and even then you don't always get the right answer.

4) we are a community unlike any other, we mostly try and help each other out. I don't really think i'd like any other forum as much as I like this one..

5) all of your "it's an SR20 forum dumbass" comments.. really?? i knew what an SR20 was when you were in diapers bitch! ok, so it was 1995 when I first found out the difference between GA16DE and SR20DE.. but we do get a lot of technical GA16 questions answered here.. and I believe there are more active forum members with VQ35's than there are GA16's..

anyway.. if everyone thinks its the most ridiculous thing ever.. then so be it.. I just wish I knew who to trust on the other forums.. i don't want to wait 6-8 months and spend time building "relationships" over there if I don't have to.

Come back and talk to me about joining and participating in other forums when you've joined 40+ and are active on 15+. I hate reducing things to this level, but you really need to get out of this sandbox and explore.

I move that all moderators deny vqman's request and then change his username to srman and delete his G35 thread in Member's Rides.

well if we aren't mostly Nissan enthusiasts, it's very interesting that 95% of the people on this forum (including you) own one.

Why would you be an enthusiast of a different brand, and be active on a forum of Nissan owners??

oh, sorry.. i try to have a life outside of the Internet.. i am on 15 forums maybe?? but i'm only active on this one.. isn't there some grammar you can be correcting on one of the other forums?? or I am sure you can find 100 errors in this post alone.




haha, i wouldn't mind really.. .I have owned four SR powered cars and four VQ powered cars.. five if you include the 2001 Pathfinder my ex-wife still drives... but my favorites were all the SR powered cars and my current G coupe.

The SR20 is a good motor. The B13 is an okay chassis. The combination makes for a good sleeper. They can be had and modified for pocket change.

Nissan circa now and the past decade or more can go suck a dick.
