I understand it helps those with small resolutions, but do we have a big problem with huge pictures?

I'm w/Ben. Picture resizing should be the responsibility of the author of the thread and not the forum software. If I post a pic, I usually resize it down to at least 1280, but usually around 1024.

Well, I shoot natively way high (like 4000 px or so) so I guess I'm just lazy.

If the forum software does it automatically then why would I resize. What if someone wants to see the picture in HD? People want yo share their content, this promotes the forum activity, the least the site can do is have an auto image resizer so people don't share their pictures to further everyone's knowledge by making them figure out how to resize pictures and taking the time to take the pictures, upload to a computer, upload to a online host and take the time to add the URL to their post.

^^^
That's why I think it would be nice.

Currently when I sell something, sometimes I have to go through the hoops of posting it large myself and then creating a thumbnail.

Kind of sucks when you have to do that 20 times.

Just checked out the link you gave me. The first picture was a perfect example of the resize algorithm sucking ass. The line between the G20 hood (on the roof) and the windshield clearly shows the problem. I'm not sure why you thought your plug-in was any different?

Should I post the Mercedes SLS picture on your forum to see how badly it butchers it?

Resized by shitty forum algorithm.

Resized by typical, decent algorithm.

Clear difference.

I don't think it's too bad for what it is...I mean, if you want to see it in all it's glory, the original is untouched, yes?
