@BenFenner Can you site the referenced decision from 2010 to clarify A decision was made? I see no mention of this in the 9 pages of discussion.

Not that I'm aware of, as the system auto-generates those links into a admin/moderator only area.

@Chriscar

Perhaps if I saw that something was being done in a more presentable fashion, no comment containing contention would have been made ? Don't take it personally when I see dozens of violations according to the rules that are now being cleaned up as of recent. Thinking outside of the box on this one.

My original comment is still withstanding that there are not enough active moderators.

Keep on with the good ideas and suggestions, friends.

I'll see what I can dig up after lunch.

Sorry Kyle, that's in the Moderator's section.

We do appreciate and evaluate all reports. The majority of them are actionable as well, so that's good too.

Enlighten the members here as to how the picture Chris posted works for the moderators and admin of this forum, please?

The 2nd reported post with the date of 01-16-2015, that has 0 replies and 0 views? What does that mean?

I cannot find any post from jet made 12-06-2014 for whatever reason. (deletion perhaps?)

I can see the action taken by ny5speed on 12-03-2014. I have not gone through any further into the past but the members here would appreciate any insight.

Enjoy your lunches!

Can you expand on that? I'm not clear on what you're looking for.

Believe me, *every* reported post is acted upon.

Take a guess at the number of reported posts this calendar year.

The views number is bogus, I purposely went and reviewed a number of them today during this discussion, and the counters didn't increment. Number of replies is just what you'd expect it to be. In the Reported Posts section, a moderator may or may not make a reply saying what they've done regarding the particular reported thread.

That one from Jet is because he reported the same post as you, so the system generated post went to the same thread as the one created by your report. (you may need to read that more than once before it makes sense )

Just like your presented picture, a well put together organization of the reported posts by users in the users console. We have such presentation when you click "My Profile" and then the tabs presented are About Me, Friends, Mentions, Quotes, Likes, Feedback Score etc...

Maybe it is not as simple as I had thought?

Does not need actions taken by mods or anymore personal information, just a link to the post that was reported upon in the users My Profile page should be rather simple to execute but I have little knowledge in how the vboard stuff works.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to reply.

If you want the metrics on reported posts, Ben may know of something, but AFAIK there's nothing like that available.

@Kyle, I understand you're looking for some sort of control panel of sorts available for the user so they can keep track of the reports they make. Obviously that doesn't exist right now. I see how it would be a nice feature to have, but it is not something available to us in the software and would be a monumental custom job, or maybe there is a plugin for it, but I'm doubtful.

As of today, there are over a dozen more pressing matters on our TODO list. Updating the Terms of Service was one of them, and failing to take care of that in timely manner has really bitten us in the ass. The reality of the situation is that this request would go to the bottom of the list, and potentially never filled. Let me take care of some much more pressing matters and we can revisit this later.

In the mean time, if you (or anyone) would like to get more information about posts they've reported and their resolutions, please sent me a PM and we can go over that.
