Right... I see that point.

Good point. But then again... You really have to be specific. It's not like your selling a garbage bag. Just the bag! And then the person you sold it to gets the bag and all your garbage.

I usually state EVERYTHING detailed in what I sell tho. But that's just me.

And now that I think about it.....If you do edit your thread to sold in the title as well as the 1st post with no information. It is kinda sketchy for the reason of someone leaving feedback to a thread that is deleted and or edit down to nothing. I would rather have the positive rep than none at all.

Edits within the post are definitely revertible, with use of backups. It all depends on the type of backup being done, however.

For instance, if I start a thread today, and close/edit it tomorrow, the contents will be available from the thread I started today. I don't know how often the incrimental backups are done though.

Not easily and not through the forum software. You have to google search away looking for archives.

I think that people should not edit the first post where the picture/description/price of the item is after it is sold. why? because it helps other people have an idea of the price other seller asked and the condition of the item in case you are buying a similar item...
Just put sold on it and close it when the item is sold, if something goes wrong then a new thread should be opened in the user feedback section to discuss the problem in case the buyer/seller cant reach an agreement between themselves...
In any case the buyer doesnt have to post directly in the FS thread, he can reach the seller through a PM and that way no one will know he purchases the item if he does not want other people to know...

And all of us should or rather must leave a feedback, wether its good or bad but leave the feedback to warn/encourage people to buy/sell/beware of the other person

If your thread has been deleted in the FS section, I've done it.

Why? Because you didn't adhere to the rules that have been in effect.

If you don't like it, don't cry to me about it. There's NOW a template that will automatically type shit in for you, so if you delete that template to put your own shit in, I'll remove it without any second thoughts.

It's very easy for us to see who's paying attention, and who isn't. Mousing over a thread gives you the first few lines of the post. If it doesn't look remotely like it's supposed to, we delete and move on.

Got a thread that's been open for months, and you're still bumping it? Same rule applies. If you have time to bump it, you have time to edit the post to conform to the forum's classified rules.

Created a mod for our classifieds section. Now when you post in the classifieds you will be presented with a template.

First select your state from the drop down (if its not filled in automatically for you that means your location field on your profile is not filled out correctly, and you will have to manually select it).

Then then fill out the template in the post box. If you remove any heading from the template, it will not allow you to post. If you do not include an image, it will not allow you to post. If you do not select a state from the drop down list, it will not allow you to post.

So basically to bump an existing FS thread,it would be best just to start over?

I'm fine with that, or copy and paste the template into your original thread, or edit your first post to be in line with the rules for required information. Any of the three is fine with me.
