Thread: New section request: Garage Sales in the Classifieds?

I thought of this, this morning on my way to work


It would be nice to have a "Garage Sale" section added to classifieds, since every season it seems there are a lot of homeowners cleaning out their garages with TONS of misc. and not-so-misc. items.

For instance, I have car parts, electronics, and misc. crap that I'd rather just put in one thread, than list multiple threads in different sections.

I'm thinking not many of us really live next to each other for that to work well.

Exactly! Just because it's titled "Garage Sale" doesn't mean you have to live an hour or less away

It would be a place for those of us with TONS of stuff varying from N/A to Turbo, Misc, etc. etc. to compile it all into one thread. Basically a FS thread for you cleaning out your garage when the spouse is tired of looking at all the crap you have!

Aha I see now. So Basically a Part Out section. I see that over here Crim created OEM Parts and one of the descriptions is Part Outs.

Since we don't want to have 200 sections, maybe we should just have Garage Sales/Part Outs?

That would work! Something that clearly informs the browser that there will be more than just part outs! I had over $1300 in fs threads in 4 sections, hard to keep track of them all

The Ga section sounded like a great idea as well.
