Thread: Forum slow?

It did finally show up as that address. When it first popped up though, it kept saying DNS request was timed out *** Can't find server name for address 85.255.114.59
Default servers are not available

After that popped up about ten times, it finally let me type in the forum name and it did list the address that you gave.

sounds like you have dns issues. you may want to try to change your dns server.

Here is a list of DNS servers

To change it go to Start -> Settings

Click on network connections, left click on whatever is your internet network device and click properties. On the first tab scroll down and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and hit properties

Check the box "Use the following DNS Server addresses"
and key in two of the dns servers listed above. Hit ok and OK

If you run that nslookup program again from start->run it should come up quickly and ask for you to key in the name server.

If you want to go back to your old/original settings, just do the above process but select "Obtain DNS Server address automatically"

You're the man. It was setup to only two set servers. I changed the settings to find the servers automatically and now it loads just fine! Thanks for the help, I was going out of my mind only being able to go to the old forum, there is hardly any activity!
