Mass Airflow Sensor most likely is causing your stall at idle.

Any tips on how to see if it's the MAS ? If it is in fact that would it be a have to replace thing or is it fixable?

Might just need a good old cleaning. There are a couple articles here.

Awesome I will clean the sensor and hope it fixes the shutting off. I also ordered shifter bushings ES motor mount inserts .. a knock off b&m shifter .. some new light weight 16x7s with 205 50 tires .. going to replace all 4 tie rods both ball joints and maybe clutch and flywheel ... so she's coming together ... gonna order a mach 1 lip and maybe some non tinted headlights .. also going to advance the timing to 18-19 degrees ( I run 93 octane anyway .. I'm used to it from my supercharged frontier) so it should be in good order real soon :-)

So yea .. the bug has bitten .. and I read about the low port intake manifold swap but can't seem to find any solid information about keeping it emissions friendly .. here in NC we have the obd2 inspection crap so CEL is not acceptable. And also probably going to toss my ssac header on that I have sitting around. Then some more dress up parts lol .. also looking around through some friends to find a shop to give it a new coat of paint. But if anyone has any info on keeping the low port mani inspection passing please let me know! Seems like a solid upgrade for a great price lol

I have a 2000 SE and the same concern of yearly emissions testing, an OBD2 port style test.(No MIL, 3 of 4 SRT's complete)
I did the low port manifold swap, and to keep it compliant, I used the original RR ECU and throttle body.
This required a special made adapter to hang the RR TB on the low port manifold. I bought it from a Forum Member that had it custom made.
Also I had to fabricate an EGR tube to connect the RR EGR system to the low port EGR inlet.
Other items that need to be addressed:
Fabricate a throttle cable bracket or bracket mount.
Modify the injector harness to connect to the side feed injectors.
Modify a coolant tube to connect to the relocated water outlet on the intake.
Extend coolant temp sensor wiring.
Extend/relocate ECU engine ground.
Also relocate, mount, plumb EVAP purge, PCV, etc .
The closest thing to a "how to" would be Vadim's write up:http:http://www.sr20-forum.com/naturally-aspirated-all-motor/70753-how-install-low-port-intake-manifold-rr.html
No doubt I am forgetting some of the details. When the car comes back from the body shop I will try to find time to take pictures and cobble up some better notes.

That would be so awesome .. I guess the throttle body adapter isn't readily available from anyone though so that kinda kills it for me as my free time is VERY limited ... like 3-4 days a month limited ..like don't see my state but that long lol

Nope rs5f70a trans code .. so open diff 00 SE with performance package ... of course it'd have to be different in a crap way lol

Just a thought since you mention it.... in this How to Bypass Power Steering High Pressure Lines at the very end of the 1st post talk about a idle raising sensor...and says this " If you turn the wheel too much at idle, your idle will down to about 500rpm for a second or so, nothing serious though."....It could be that since you mention that every time it has happen was when you was turning your wheels. Just a thought some one might want to confirm.
