SE-L bit the dust! :(
My stepson hydroplaned driving home in the rain on Monday night...at 2 am... Long story short, went off the road, hit a stump on driver's side front, and popped both airbags. Windshield busted from the bags, the wheel is broken (an original SE-L 5-spoke), and it looks to me like the lower control arm just twisted up like a pretzel as the wheel got jammed up in the fender well.
I'll get a new arm from Rock Auto to get it back rolling, as it doesn't look like the frame is bent bad, if any at all. I'll also get the other stuff used, hopefully including the airbags. New windshield, of course. Body work will consist of zip ties for the bumper cover and pulling the fender back in shape as best we can.
My question is, once the airbags have blown, do I have to replace the sensor(s) or reset anything before I hook up the new (replacement) bags?
I'll of course take pics as I tear it down and put it back together.
Any other thoughts/advice/directions?
Kthxbye
