Thread: Cel codes

Ok so I pulled codes yesterday and I got knock sensor, upstream o2 sensor, and random misfire. Now it all started with a evap gas leak which a hose on the canister was shot and the o2 sensor. I got the hose repaired athat cleared the codes. When I took it out for a spin after that, I pulled out on the road in 1st gear and accelerated and it hesitated, shifted into 2nd and same thing. It does it every so often. Would the o2 cause the misfire and knock sensor to come on too? I've been reading some threads and will try getting a 4 wire sensor with the dedicated ground and ground into the IM.

Yeah some codes will trigger others.

Sounds like ur getting knock. Did u take of any hoses when u smoked it? Maf problems, do u still have the cat?

I cleared the codes again last week Thursday, and so far none of showed up. I scan it once a day since the knock sensor doesn't trigger the light. Car still has the cat, for now. Maf sensor works good. It has hesitated at all since then either. I would clear the code then as soon as it would hesitate, the CEL would pop up and it would read the o2 sensor. But it hasn't turned on since last week and no stored codes so maybe it was just bay time of the month for her

maybe bad gas?

I use the same station all the time but that did cross my mind. Once this tanks out, I gonna fill her up with premium and run that through.

Well jinxed myself, shifting into 2nd gear earlier and it hesitated and cel came back on Good thing I had already ordered the Bosch universal 4 wire o2 sensor and it arrived yesterday. Guess that's my project today.

The CEL/MIL light will usually come back on after the ECU is reset about 10-30 seconds after the second start up (if the cause has not been fixed)
