Thread: ga16de cranks over really weak

so my cars cranks over reallly weak, obviously. i have a fresh battery, starter just got tested and it kicks on super strong, i replaced the cables from the battery. and it still turns over super weak like either something is causin drag on the starter or if something draws energy away from the battery. any ideas would be awesome. and this starterd right before i found out timing chain jumped timing. uggghhhh :/ thanx ahead of time

Low compression could cause that if you jumped timing could've really messed something up if I remember correctly.

i agree with the compression. fpr maybe? Too rich when it starts?

How do you test a fpr?

It seems like something electrical.

Just to make it clear the motor does not start. When we try to start it (even with a new battery) the motor cranks over very slow but will not start. It seems like something electrical is draining all of the power.

u local? if so i have a couple fpr's that you could borrow.
