B15 a/c issues question?
So i have this B15 A/T with the QG18 motor and the a/c has been slowly getting warm, i recharged it with an a/c machine at work , to specs ( added PAG oil and recharged 1.21 lbs ) , but it still feels just cool.

It doesn't feel as strong as my Maxima a/c does.

Is there any typical issues with the B15 a/c system or something else i should check?

Here i am evacuating, vacuuming and recharging at work

after i recharged it i used a freon sniffer and put it up against all of the a/c lines and the condensor ...it didnt beep the way it would if it sniffed a freon leak...

could it be the evaporator ??

could be the evap, my b15 did the same when i got it, i vacuumed the system, and replaced it with new freon, and sure enough that day it was blowing real cold! i think instead of the sniffer you should try the dye and uv light, might work better.

What are your pressure after the charge? It could be your orifice tube, it can also be an airflow problem. Evaporator usually dont go bad just because. My b14 spent over a year with an open system and I got it back together and is working fine. I would check the pressures with a gauge manifold and see. Also put a fan in front of the condenser to simulate a 35 mph wind. Good luck. If you have any questions you can text me at 440-360-0573 am a certified ac tech. My name is Xavier btw.

cool thanks guys!

I was also thinking that the battery might have something to do with it, since it needs to be replace the transmission computer is keeping it in 3rd gear at times due to the lack of sufficient voltage. I was guessing if the battery was bad it would screw up more than one system . I will try to replace the battery and go from there ..

@1...low i added some dye to the system but i didn't get a chance to look at it with a UV light, that will be my next step

@xavi thanks bro! I will check my pressures, i did a quicl and i do mean quick evacuate, vacuum ( only did it for 5 minutes ) and recharge , i didnt even see the pressures ...

But i will try and grab a gauge to see

specs should be something like high side @ 100 psi and low side at @40 psi give or take.
