Thread: ok, i want to do a swap..suggestions?

ok, so i found a 96 se-r on craigslist..got her from 800 down to 600..mechanically car is great..rockers are rotted out..i was going to harvest the car for its tranny, axles, engine/dash harnesses, and ECU..(plus dash and other interior pieces) and i was going to part out the rest..b14 wheels, sideskirts, tails, and motor..and anything else i can get rid of..and purchase a VE and throw it in my car..my only question is should i do all that? or just swap the regular DE into my car and call it a day..i know the 2nd will be a hell of a lot easier, and probably cheaper..but i want my damn VE!! lol

any ideas?

another thought about the VE..it would get a new clutch if i seperated motor and tranny..so that would eliminate a potential headache down the road..

and since 96 is OBD2 i shouldnt have any issues with my 98 car..correct?

How about you buy my shell with the ream beam bent and harvest whatever you need from this B14 you're looking to buy and call it a day. Trash you rusty Sentra to the scrappers.

i also cant bear to get rid of my car..i have so many memories and emotional attchment to it..also would love to have a fast 4 door car

no..i was going to buy the car in the OP and harvest all the good stuff out of it and trash the rest..

So I'm saying instead of buying the car, just throw that $600 into your SE-L.
