Just to throw you a bone....here's the timing mod you can do pretty easily: About Ignition Timing

It basically costs nothing but your time. A lot of guys, my self included, have the timing set to 19 degrees (stock cams). Keep in mind, 92/93 octane should be used for this mod.

If your fine withe fueling up with 93 or 91 all of the time then definitely up your timing. It's a good way to get some "free" hp. If not then stick to a cam, header, intake.

Also how did you get the OEM intake to be CARB legal?

haha its not carb legal, its just illegal but i have the stock intake so when i get it smogged ill just switch it out.
