It's a daily driver. You want your daily to be nice, you're not looking for top performance. You're not going to take your daily driver to the strip and try to run the fastest times possible. You're not going to take your daily out on the streets and look for light-to-light action. You're only going to drive it from point A to point B. I'd rock 17's on my daily. Sure you might accelerate a little slower, but as your daily, you're not concerned about that. If it's a nice wheel and you want to put it on your car, go for it. I'd rock 17's on my daily. I have a set of 16's on my daily right now. It has a VE in it and it still hauls ass. Like everyone has said, just make sure that they aren't really heavy.

I'm sort of reluctant to purchase them at this point. I have not had the change to mount them yet..despite I drove by the shop every two days. However, I did drove my previous SER with the 17s. I did not noticed slower on acceleration. Anymore pics?

its really not that big of a deal...either you want a pimpin DD or not, if u have the dough to get the rims do it if you dont dont, personally since my DD is my only car i chose to go for a lil show and a lil go, i have no complaints at all with my 17s and tires are easy to find used and new and they work as hard as i would want my DD to at the track, stock Spec-vs' come with 17s

if u want pix ive gottem

Its not just the wheel weight you have to worry about but the weight of the tire itself. Also tire width makes a difference. On my b14 my 1/4 times were better with the stock b14 rims (15inch) then my 16 lbs 5 zigen rims but feel heavier then the stock wheel. Plus on a daily stock rims hold up much better then anything aftermarket as far as getting damaged.

If it were me i'd say put on whatever you like and looks good. Heck I had 18's on my matrix until one wheel cracked from a pothole.

I had 17" Gram Lights with 205/45/17 on my old turbo B14 (~240-250whp) and I f**king loved it. It's not something I would have chosen on my own, they were a little big for my taste (I'm pretty bling-servative). I got them with my white B14 when I bought it, and just decided to try them out on the black car.

They were pretty light, and the larger size worked as a pseudo gear ratio modification (which is what I really liked about them). It made the car much more manageable in the lower gears.

That's what my parents used for their street wheels. Which are still on the car now that it's sold.

Had some enkei rs-5s before (19.1 lbs), but had to get some rims that would clear the breaks so went with the lightest I could find: Traklites (14.6 lbs.). 5 lbs is night and day diffrance. And I never noticed jack when it came to gas mileage with the 17s.
