To sell or not to sell
I got mixed feelings... I love the se-l but I want something new... BUT then again I dont want to go into payments, but then again... u get the picture..

I so far got 2 ppl to get the car off my hands.. both not minding to pay 2k...
I got work to do on my car currently, a bit of cosmetics and suspension, and in the future i was planning to get rid of the de and swap a ve... I got a real good offer to get the body fixxed and same for the suspension, Both of the works for less then 2k, but Friends and myself is saying that for the 2k of work to put in the car + the 2k on selling the car 4k would be a great down payment on my next car... the qr25...

But i need the response of ppl in this car, the only reason I feel like selling it, personally is cuz of the suspension, hopefully once i get that **** fixxed up, i wont feel like selling... any1 want to help a brother out on this?

its always going to be hard to either decide to sell the car or keep it. just look at the offers that are coming right at you, could be a once in a lifetime chance to sell it for that much.

Sounds like where I was a year ago.

I had a B14 SE-R that had some paint problems and it was an older car. I had someone interested in buying it for $2k so I sold it and put another $2k down on a brand new 06 Spec V. After having the car for 10 months, I got tired of paying $310/month for a car that was depriciating faster than i could make the payments on it and after I had already put a sizable downpayment on it. I got really lucky and sold the car to a private party (which is almost unheard of) but I'm out all of the money I put down and the payments I made.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the QR25 but here's some quick info:

*It's not very reliable especially the 02-03 models
*There's no good tuning solutions for it without spending a lot of money on a stand alone
*The value of the Specs is terrible. The true market value is waaay below KBB or Edmunds pricing. I went to trade my car in and they told me they'd give me $9K-$10k for a mint stock 1 year old car with 10k miles on it and I'm not the only one who has been told this.
*Go to a Spec website and ask them if you should get a Spec and the overwhelming answer will be "NO!"
*Most Spec owners don't end up keeping their cars for very long. There's always a select few who have no problems and love their cars but chances are, you're going to put yourself in a financial bind.
*Insurance is rediculous for a n/a 4 door. By "downgrading" to a 2001 SE, my insurance went down 40% and I am over 25 with a perfect driving record.

I'm not trying to be a Negative Nancy but this is some of the things I noticed after purchasing my Spec V. In the end, I would have been happier and had a lot more money if I had kept my B14. If you do decide to get another car, may I suggest something other than a Spec

New car suck, you pay alot of money for a car that is going to waste more gas, take a minimum of $600 out of your pocket a month and the car devalues to nothing in no time flat.

No more new cars for me.

I am working on a G20T 99-02 that will cost me no more than $7000 I will have it for 4 years plus and can sell it for $3000 not a bad investment

The way i see it whan you finance a car it's kinda like remember in the movie Goodfellas ?

Your house burned down ? Phuck you, PAY ME!!

No matter what , no matter hardships you have to pony up the dough or else, you're on foot.

I would rather get a car i like, maybe not in the best conditions, that i could work on myself. Even if i put some $$$ into it every now and then, it's better than a guaranteed car payment every single month for 3-5 years.

No car payment FTW!!!

i would keep it. save the monthly payments on other stuff. i had an 07 subaru legacy i sold after having it about 10 months. it sucked having a car payment and increase in insurance. i sold it, took the hit. now i have a 98 se that will be payed off in the next few months and will have no car payment again. nice to have the extra money every month.

Don't Infiniti's go up in value? Or is that just a non-dealership thing
