Thread: Alarm Malfunction

I have a 2001 SE and lost the key alarm/clicker back in November. Wasn't a major problem until 2 days ago, I just unlock and lock the car with my key. Saturday morning, I unlock my car, open the door and the alarm goes off. I get in and start the car hoping that would solve the problem. The alarm went off finally after a few minutes and I drove to work, where as soon as I opened the door again, the alarm went off. I shut the door, lock it, unlock it, open the door, alarm goes off again. I shrug it off and go into work (after a few strange looks from people around). After work, I unlock the car and open the door and the alarm goes off again. Then it was fine until this morning when it started doing it again.

I am at a loss how the alarm got activated without the clicker and how to shut it off without the clicker. I don't think it is causing any major problems, just slightly annoying and just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows a way to fix it.

Edit: Dad has no clue, and of course it didn't act up when I was home and he could hear it.
