Sr20de question
Hi guys,
I got a Nissan sunny n14 equal to US sentra b13, it was Ga16de from stock. Right now I put an Sr20de everything works fine but the temperature gauge in the cluster doesn't move...
I tried with Ga16de sensor and the gauge turn to very hot in a second...
Does anyone know what sensor do I need to use or if I need to add any resistor to my cluster to work fine

The SR20 engine has two completely separate coolant temp sensors. They are mounted right next to each other on the head. One feeds the dash gauge directly and nothing else. One feeds the ECU where the data is used for all sorts of things, including warm-up enrichment and turning the radiator fans on. You'll want to make sure the one feeding the ECU is correct for the ECU you're running. That is most important. You'll never know it's wrong by looking at the gauge. What ECU are you running?

Next, you'll want to make sure the sensor connected to the gauge matches the gauge cluster. What gauge cluster are you running? If you're running the stock N14 cluster with the stock N14 coolant gauge, then run a stock N14 coolant temp sensor in the engine. Have you tried that yet?
Also, the factor connections for these sensors are very flimsy. A lot of use have replaced them with alligator clips, or similar.

First of all thanks for your info.

The fans works fine and I know that there is 2 sensors. I'm talking about the 1pin sensor.
I'm running n14 1.6sr gauge cluster.

Should I use both 1.6 engine sensors?

Thanks, I already used a 1.6 sensor but with no success. When I use that sensor it shows always on red.

I'm using an EU Sr20de oem ECU.
