Thread: Tie rod ranked out while driving

As the title says I had my inner tie rod rank out from the steering rack while driving. The inner tie rod is stripped and I am suspecting the steering rack to be stripped also because the new moog tie rods will not go in all the way. I was wondering if anyone knows the thread pitch for the steering rack so i can attempt to fix the threads?

Do you have a torch? I needed one to replace mine

What did you replace the steering rack or inner tie rod? I have a impact gun that usually does pretty good

Buy a new rack.

Also, how the hell does a tie rod just excuse itself from the Party with no prior warning?

No idea. Alignment was straight and all of a sudden it just shoots out under boost
