Passenger side axel doesn't fit after engine swap
If you have googled and found this thread, it is because you didn't swap the bracket the axel goes into from your old motor...
So I spent a good half hour or more tonight trying to figure out why my passenger side axel wasn't going in far enough for those three little bolts to tighten it down on the bracket mounted to the engine. The holes were almost 4" from where they should have been, and the axel wasn't going into the transmission any further.
I kept staring at that damned bracket and couldn't for the life of me imagine how it could have moved. It finally sunk in that this wasn't the original motor. I walked over and pulled the bracket off the old motor, and sure enough they fit differently. Mounted it up and now the bolt holes were back where they belonged.
It's the little things that you don't think of when it has taken months to get everything back together...
