Thread: Where to find a speedometer cable??

Hey there, first post, be gentle.

I just bought a super clean 1991 B13 (SE, but to be swapped eventually), but the speedometer/odometer is non functioning. The housing to the speedo cable is broken and I have no idea where I can get a replacement. Does anyone know where I could get one that would fit? Or should I just buy an aftermarket speedometer?

junk yard b13, an ga or sr b13 cable works as they are one in the same.

It's around $50 for both the cable and the gear that goes into the transmission. Buy them new and save yourself the headache. I went thru 3 or them before buying a new one

Mine always pops out, like 2x a year. Reach up, it may be just dangling

Something is broken then. I can't pull mine off without hitting the release.

This I know - the release is busted, but as I said - lasts most of the year, and is a 5 second fix so it doesn't bother me much.
