Short of the stolen original wheels and tires(yeah, that still gripes my ass)..... Interesting thread though. Kind of surprised at some of the low opinions by the faithful. Good to speculate, and time has away of surprising us all. I'm not looking to get rich off of mine down the road, that's for sure, but you just never really know. Could be reasonably valuable for what it is, or it could just fade away to a silent death. I really think it has a lot has to do with the fact it's a Nissan. Even the more popular models have always been a "cult" car to a certain degree. Someone in a another thread said "I would sell ANY Sentra for $5000", I disagree.....

Using original tires that are more than a decade old is silly.

Mine is more stock than Todd's, harumph!

^ oh I agree but I couldnt believe how much extra value was placed on said car with original tires from the 60s I believe it was... horrible bias ply tires too! (IIRC, the commentary was $10k worth of tires... I was like WTF? old tires worth that much since when?)

Using 20 year old tires? yes, having the original Dunlops with 8,000 miles? That would be cool as hell, and you know it. Btw I just replaced the 20 year old tires on my Cobra. Good tread, not cracking at all.....but hard as hell!!! The SS still has it's 03' tires though, and they are perfectly fine. You would be surprised how well tires hold up that rarely see the light of day

Rubber is natural, it dries out over time regardless of sun, moisture, salt, humidity, etc (just like how we age over time).

You can use old tires at your own risk, sure. I, simply, would not.

Of all the risky behavior I partake in, I'm pretty comfortable with my old tires. They obviously age, but until you have experience with 100% garaged tires, it's just not as valid of an argument.
