Thread: SE-R rarity question

Picked up a 93 SE-R today, but it had two things that made me scratch my head,

1. I have never seen an SE-R in the dark red color, like maroon, like the NX2K's, how common is this?

2. it doesnt have a sunroof factory, never seen this either, I know hardtop NX's are rare, is this as well?

1. The color is not rare but not common is that makes sense.

2. Non-Sunroof is pretty common i'd like to think.

well i dont have facebook so i didnt post there, and i never use the other forum if this one is up, so i havent checked back on there a bit after I posted it. my apologies, plus different people use this than the other forum.

I thought the rarity of the car depended on where the car was originally sold at. I have a grapes maroon (not like the n2k) with no sunroof. Never seen another one put here in sd

I've seen my fair share of maroon B13 SE-Rs but I guess they aren't as common as black, grey, red, and white. Probably similar in numbers to number of blue ones? @Kyle owns a maroon one.

SE-Rs with no sunroof are rare IMO, but there still are plenty of them out there. I'm happy to own one.

What color is it, exactly? Aztec Red (AG2) is bright red. Cherry Red Pearl (AH3) is the color of my car and a bit darker red than aztec red. Ruby Pearl Metallic (AL0) is like a deeper and darker red / raspberry color.

They stopped selling the color of my car in 1992 according to my notes. That color did not make the 1993 line-up from what information I have gathered so I would be surprised to see a 1993 SE-R in AH3 color. It is most likely AL0 or re-sprayed.

And a none sun-roof SE-R is more rare than the other option, a sun-roof SE-R.
