few random issues
last week finished det and b15 swap from manual 91 ser to auto 93 xe. swap went well, found most of info on here bout converting auto to manual. all in all, car runs well but....

1. takes forever to warm up, and when it does doesnt idle well. adjusted iacv screw few times, checked grounds, fresh fuel. suggestions?

2. while driving at any speed, theres irregularly irregular sputtering/hesitation. nothing knee-jerk, but noticeable. checked plugs, wires, grounds... im sure issue 1 and this are related. ideas?

3. swapped and rewired cluster with tach from 91 to 93. searched and found some info on it, but would like confirmation if possible. tach signal from ecu/harness under dash is blue w/ black stripe. just extend and plug into black symmetrical plug (m30) slot 39 with a axtra pin?

4. and lastly.. everything in cluster works properly except previously mentioned tach, clock, and low fuel light. when car is off, low fuel light stays on, when key in "on" position and when car running its off. i know some wiring clearly arent in right spot, but ive switched, swapped clock wire with low fuel wire, and few other options and still cant get right. the simple/lazy in me wants to jus pull the bulb, but id kinda like to do it right. cluster wiring was hacked up in 91 when i got it, so ive never seen cluster work like it shud. but i imagine the clock shud stay on, just can fig it out.

thanks for reading, and help

Try to get some stock cluster plugs some a ser just cut them off and you cuold compare the colors of the of the wires and see if thiers one that is not on the position were it goes ...try it I have done it before but some timrs I have to go back and check a color or two of the wires becuase the change by the years of the car or manufacturer

looking thru engine bay saw the ignition coit rubber coating was almost all gone, and saw some rust where it mounts. so got a new coil and clean up all gronds with drill and wire wheel. idle was lil better, but still stutering. wired up what i thought/read on forum was tach signal, but tach randomly jumped from 1-2k. will get new filter and check injectors next. the saga continues...

anbody know the stock setting for idle screw? rmbr reading something like 3-4 full turns from the very bottom, but would like to comfirm. thanks

You won't find many B13 SE-R clusters at junkyards. They've been all sucked up. Hell, I've been to a bunch, including the LARGEST PULL YARD IN THE U.S. and there wasn't a single B13 SE-R. There were like 4 B13's but they were all 1.6 automatics except for 1. There are however G20's quite often, all years. And lots of B14's but mostly the 1.6.

Oh and OP be happy it takes forever to warm up! I have the opposite issue sometimes and it sucks As far as the idle, try pulling the TPS when its running and see if the car stalls

will try pulling tps next, as well as removing and cleaning iacv and other little valve under intake mani. tach is bothering me the most actually...

removed cleaned iacv, replaced with new gasket. idle was much better, stable. took for lil drive and when on throttle, pulls hard with no hesitation/sputtering whatsoever. but when im cruising at any spped, it does sputter hesitate buck, etc. give it gas it stops , but goes right bck to it when cruising. im starting to think its the fuel pump. what u guys think? was brand new walbro 255 pump, but did sit for a while (year give or take) before this most recent swap. my fuel pressure guage is under hood, so i cant see it when driving which would help right now. hope i dont hear crickets this time...

tach signal too please. yellow/red wiring caused guage to randomly jump between 1-2k rpm, thats it.
and i also need consult software and cable...

today cleaned MAF, replaced fuel filter, added extra ground to TB, and checked voltage on TPS (.48 closed, 5.4v, 0 ground)
also checked all clamps on IC piping and vacuum lines. cranked and warmed her up, but still sputtered. so i unplugged IACV, and viola! stopped the sputtering. so took for drive and only did in once or twice, when coming and leaving a stop. i had to give gas to keep from stalling at a stop. im assuming thats cuz iavc unplugged. other than that, drove great and pulled hard. so will order a new one next week and go from there. making progress, and hope this solves it for good. this is more like a diary than forum.... still need help or point in the right direction with my tach (one in cluster) and right signal. thanks

Glad you got it figured out.. does the manifesto on here have a diagram of the pinout for the ECU? I'd check there
