Yeah, my cousin wanted to put some shitty chicken wire behind it, and even though I contributed to this shitty grill, I could not let him do the chicken mesh, maybe some differant mesh, but he's not THAT concerned with it. It was mostly a boredom thing. I just got this welder and we wanted to make something and he didnt have a grill so we started joking about making one...

I know its hideous, but its cool, cause I made it with my own hands. I measure it out, brain stormed it, welded it, and built it. Fabricating shit is fun. Woulda been funner if it wasn't 19 degrees in my fucking garage.

Its so easy man, all you got to do is practice. I have never had anyone show me how to weld, Ive just been around welders my whole life and would just pick up the wand and start welding on scrap stock. I got a cheap little 110v mig wire feed. They can be had for under 200 dollars, sometimes I have seen them for $100. It would be a good investment for anyone that does shit them selves.

I just welded a 4" exhaust tip on my wifes truck just for shits and giggles. And out of curiousity I called a muffler shop to see what they would charge for thatr and they said $35! This thing would pay for its very quickly. I just happened to get mine for free. haha.

With better metal (without holes) and some powder coating and a nissan emblem it probably would look a lot better. We plan to make a differant one for the hell of it. Its fun.

for sure, I taught myself to weld on a $100 harbor freight wire welder. From there I got a job tigging at a fab shop which I am sure some of you remember, I got really good and it did not even take that long.

LOL thats what my welder is! I just didnt say because I honestly didnt know if there were harbor freights outside of Utah. Lol.

I tig at my job too now. I weld in the aluminum flooring on 53' semi trailers. I love it. Migs easy...you have to be patient with tig though....its hard at my job because there is always a draft coming through our 60' bay doors, and dirty aluminum sucks too.
