Thread: Original B13 SE-R Emblems idea

If you guys have been following your local news at all you may have seen this new concept of 3D Printing. I have the AutoCAD software on my computer so I am seriously considering drawing the "Sentra" and "SE-R" in the same Nissan font and taking a stab at having it printed in 3D. Only challenge would be finding the right material....just an idea I want to put into motion....if I am not mistaken, I don't think these emblems are sold my Nissan anymore.

Yea. You need to do that. Some type of plastic would be best they end user could paint to suit.

Do you think there would be enough demand for a group buy?

I was able to buy some earlier this year for my car with the correct background color. At the time, the black background color emblems are OOP or Out Of Production.

OK, so this is how it came out drawing it in AutoCAD. As an experiment I'm going to send the drawing file off to a 3D printing shop and have it made on gray colored fiberglass, perhaps carbon fiber.....

You know how this forum is man it all depends on the price this is why we are so behind because people can't afford or don't want to spend big money on parts.
