Thread: Help im having headlight problems!

So about two days ago my 91 SE-R started to have a problem after i picked it up from the body shop my headlights wont stay on after 500RPM's previously my RPM's wound go from 1000 to 0 just about every time i came to a stop when my lights would be on also its only my headlights not the fog, corner or taillights. I'm currently using 6000k HID's i also tried using standard H4(Tsuru headlights) bulbs and it does the same thing. any ideas what it could be? thanks in advance guys.

The first thing that came to my mind was a loose ground....your going to have to do the best you can to trace the "bug", I would also contact the body shop and ask if they did any work near electrical wires....good luck in your search....that's a weird symptom

as mentioned checked your grounds. I have also seen a bad head light switch do this but it usually picks on one head light and not the other.

^^^agreed...a bum headlight switch could also be the problem

i did called the shop right after i found out they said they didn't touched anything in the engine bay. i used my power probe and both bulbs where getting power so i checked the grounds and that apparently fixed the problem. thanks guys for the hints
