Thread: Help!! B13 RPM Gauge stopped working?

Any ideas why? I checked all fuses under dash n all are good..

Possibly something internal. May require you to remove the cluster and do a little probing.

rpm gauge is pretty simple on b13. 3 screws that lead to 3 traces on the floppy back of the board. the blue wire goes directly to the ecu from the harness so if its the wire, its easy to fix. if its the tachometer itself.... if its dead... I cant speak for sr but the b14 ones work just fine on a ga, just swap needles and face plates.

take out the pin on the left of the face that holds the needle to 0, let it drop all the way down, mark with a piece of painters tape where the needle sits, remove, replace. mine was dead perfect 1st shot out.

Dang driving today on vvl nx and rpm gauge stopped working , i trace the signal back to the msd box and box not getting any signal as well, i changed clusters and the same no rpm signal , i removed ecu blue pin looks ok from inside and outside , put the volt meter getting like 1.73v anything else i can look for? Cluster works good all lights and all gas gauge , speedometer and temp work only stupid rmp i dont know what the helll happened any imput will be appreciated

Could it be a bad dizzy or bad camshaft positioning sensor?
