Lol, when ever my Sentra has a small hiccup. My Girl goes one and on, about how I should sell it and use that as a down payment on a new car. Like she did.. And when she complains about being broke I laugh.
Though her Fiat 500t is fun to drive

my girl gives me shit all the time about how stupid my car is and damn near crucifies me whenever i dump big money into it. To this day she refuses to get into it. Everyone else gives it a thumbs up even my pops is into it loves the boost haha.

real car people will always like and respect something different. a few people i know mostly people i work with give me shit about my pos rusty sentra with a intercooler and a car seat. its a constant argument but what it comes down to is i likes what i likes. I got a wife and 3 kids i dont care about status...never did. Not tryin to pick up chicks or impress anyone that it would take a typical car to do so. So you go ahead and put the top down on your cameros and mustangs but dont hurt your neck when i shoot past you. Or you just cant get into the lane of traffic you need to cus this little pos that you cut off earlier is now ahead in the way of you merging.

Just getting ready to start a similar thread before I saw this one. I've been getting all nostalgic lately because my 20th Anniversary with my SE-R is just a week away, so I thought I would go out and get some cool pics to commemorate the event. I located the original salesman at a local Toyota dealer. He is now a finance manager, but thought it would be cool to his picture with my car. Off today, bummer! Oh well, I then headed to the Nissan dealer I purchased it from for another cool pic opportunity, maybe even get it side by side with a 2013? By the time I'm in the presence of all these Versa's, Leaf's, and Cubes, I get this vibe that no one on this lot could really give a damn about my 93 SE-R, and why should they really? When I'm on the forum, I'm surrounded by dedicated passionate Nissan enthusiasts who appreciate this little pumped up economy car of mine, but the average guy on the street, or even most car nuts I know will just never get it. This car just marches to it's own music, and so do it's owners. Something we should all be proud of.

The only way to explain it is a ride-along or test drive. That's how I convert those doubting Thomas'.

Also occasionally you will get a friend trapped with $200-300 payments on... let's say an '08 Altima and hating it. Throws money in for alternator, axle whatever on top etc. All of a sudden they get it about your 30mpg, low insurance, no payment, fun fun fun, shitbox.

I used to "get it" a lot about the cars... but the people who have known me all know that I have a weird taste in whips. And all my tuner friends know that no matter what my cars look like - they'll probably run a pretty decent number.
