Sounds like a nice thing to work on during the winter. (my car needs a lot of work to be done on the interior anyway, so I'll probably do this if I'll get my hands on the part)

belive me ! if you car isnt awd dont do this! is a lot of work!!!

if you want to do a rhd converion from a gtir you will be need everithing !!! the hard job are on knokles because steering rack is uper than B13! and need knokles from gtir are uper to, and the tie rod will be higer and hit the chasis, awd cars have about one inch of clearance downthere and you need tu cut the chasis and reinforsment! i do 2 swaps loke this and a dont want to do anymore

Wow, looks like someone has a 4-door and is offended. No one mentioned having power windows or locks as anything to do with this thread. And the fact that the car had a different engine in Japan doesn't mean much to this argument because we were talking about US models.

BTW the last like 4 sentences you wrote are incomprehensible

man the topic dont says , stock, mod, us or japan , so a put on the table all the info i have, if you look arround the world like a said that is the fact, but if you want to compare 2 car andnputing some restriction make no sense...
i have B13 from year 2000, i have 3 SE-R , 2 GXE , 3 XE models, and i used for everithing , all motor, jdm convertion and all can you inmagine, and belive me when i said 4 door does better , firts at all quality 4 door most of them are made in japan NO ESAY RUST ! wheit distribution, jdm pars are for 4 doors for obviusly reason, bla bla bla, im not offended but i just putting my pointand a fact!! ok SE-R is the top of the line here in U.S but if you do a swap , 4 door have better reasons to do better both cars whit same parts.

Interesting.... the ultimate SE-R with 4WD ATESSA, 20V VE, JDM cosmetics....and 2 doors! Fully bolted NA of course. If Nissan had the 2 door coupe in Japan, kinda curious what they could have done with it. Euro NX brake system with the larger rear rotors and Altima spec MC, maxed out engine & drivetrain with a turbo option... Just a thought. FWIW I still see a bunch of JDM 4 door B13s in the boneyards and look for any goodies that don't show up in the USDM market. Not much. Still it is kinda remarkable that the B13 4 door lives on 21 years later in the MDM market Tsuru.

all attesa awd come with 11.5 rear brake and ad22 front,
mines come with that brakes

The coupe looks better in my opinion. I have owned both. That whole build not bought concept. Yeah I think that is supposed to apply to guys who pay a shop to do all the work and guys that do their own wrenching. It seems kinda ridiculous to apply that to guys who bought a factory SE-R instead of making a 4 door SE-R.

All my b13s are factory Sr20s and I've wrenched on all of them.

As for the four door being balanced better. Please show me the car in stock configuration on a 4 corner scale. Then we compare to a stock Se-R and see which one has better weight distribution. The comparison would still be a bit pointless because there was never a factory SR20DE four door B13. You gotta compare apples to apples.

As for Japanese cars being better in terms of corrosion. I disagree with that. We've all seen the images of rotted out NX2ks which were all built in Japan. I used to own a 94 Se-R which spent its first 10 years in the Northeast. By the time I sold it there was some rust on it but nothing super serious. In fact that car is still going strong right now being used as a race car.

As for the 4door having better weight distribution. Well maybe that might be true and maybe not. For you to really be able to say that though you'd have to build a SR20DE equipped 4door with Se-R everything. Then you get a stock SE-R. Put both on a four corner scale. This is how you will really know. As for the four door being better on a track. You can say that but it's worthless without proof.

How do you prove it. Same suspension, same power and torque levels, same brakes, same driver, same tires, same wheels, same day, same total weight. I really think the difference between the two will be very minor.

These look good, but gonna have to agree with a previous poster a say 2-door is my preference.
