I'm going to tell you what he did.

He drove this SER for 150,000 miles. He changed out the speedo for one he got his hands on. I used to have a few low mileage speedos that i got out of the junkyards many years ago but I sold them all to people with broken speedo clusters.

He is a "nissan tech" probally knows how to easily open and roll back the cluster as it is, lil dealers always so shady as it is. Finally read this thread and just looking at it knew it couldnt be true, everything miko points out is correct, the wheel, the engine bay, the shifter, also you can barley tell in the photos, but i t looks like the driver carpet has alot of wear on it under those rubber mats in the one pic. SO unless someone sat in this pretending to play driver and he removed shit in the engine bay/changed shit thinking it would be more FUNCTIONAL to replace shit....yah around 40k my ass. ALso why are the oem wires already gone?

Interesting. I never would have picked that out. Carfax would tell some stories if that's true Miko. If that's the case, the price should be half of that. And to do something like that would be a pretty low-life move. Otherwise clean regardless. EGR stuff is still gold, which might now mean nothing if it's not legit.

It takes about 10 minutes to change the odometer reading on a B13: disassemble the cluster, pull out the speedo, remove a pin, and at that point, the numbers all free-wheel.

^^ A good pressure clean with the right products can do wonders on any engine bay! Metal can be pollished or shined and I am still sticking with my arguement that someone that wants it bad enough would buy it. NOT ME! If I were to even think about it, it'd be $2000 or STFU Dealer! I don't care what the Odometer says and the pics are to blurry to really tell what the interior is like.

So based on a couple low res pics it's now gospel that the IP has been changed and there's "no way" it has 47k on it. Also note that in the pic of the steering wheel and shift knob that you can't clearly make out the numbers on the speedo or lettering on the cruise button, and you can barely make out the NISSAN on the steering wheel. Know why? Because it's a shitty picture. Elementary dear Watson's.

I dont need a better pic to show me the wear and rubbing on the wheel and shifter, would only show it more.

Its not having the OEM battery cover is the problem.

The problem is the OEM connector to the battery has already rotted off and they have an aftermarket battery connector on the positive terminal.

Mr SE-R I am sure your original connector has not rotted off and you are probably at 120-130 K miles.

Yep! Still has it, plus the original oem positive terminal cover too. And wish my car had 130k, it has 190k.

How would one know the battery terminal "rotted" off? I've broken a couple in my time from over-tightening. And so the battery cover is missing, well so is the OEM battery. Easy, the replacement(s) were a different size that wouldn't fit in the cover.
