No sweat.
1. Remove stock hood latch (temporarily)
2. Mount the pins in the location that you want (I used existing holes in the radiator support just inside of the rubber stops)
3. Set the height of the pins so the top of the pin is about as high as the fender
4. Place a dab of paint on the top of the pins and lower the hood.
5. Look to see where the paint is on the hood.
6. Drill a small hole only through the frame of the carbon fiber hood.
7. Drill a hole large enough for the hood pin to pass through and touch the bottom of the carbon fiber. Do the paint thing again.
8. Drill a small pilot hole there (7/32) through the hood
9. Place the template on the hood and center the crosshairs with the pilot hole.
10. I angled the locking mechanism a bit, mainly for looks.
11. Once you're this far, you get out the Dremel and become friends with your hood.
12. Remove all of the hood frame underneath the hole you just cut, so that you can bolt your latch to the hood with the screws/nuts they provide.
13. Clear sailing from there. The main thing I focused on, was making sure you take your time on the hole you align the template to on the hood.
It is somewhat nerve racking, so take your time
Of course, use painting tape on the hood, and cover the front of the car with an old bed sheet.
