Thread: Can someone help me with my air conditioning?

i got a 93 SE-R and i have no A/C, only fan. I bought this car with A/C and fan relay not working. I replaced the relay and still no A/C. Everything is there, so I'm assuming I only need R12 freon? I'm not sure. Should I spend money on troubleshooting the R12 stuff or should I go to the junkyard, grab everything off a G20 P10 and swap everything over; condenser(would i need condensor too? or can i get by w/ the b13 one?), compressor and all the lines? Go to a shop and have them vaccuum the system and refill w/ R134.

Thanks for the advice and any links would be helpful. I searched and couldn't really find anything specific on what i can and can not use to get things working.

Compressor running??????? check for voltage to it..... if not u can run a hot lead to it....... check for bubbles in the drier when compressor running...... GET A FSM !!!

Have the system flushed, install conversion fittings, add some PAG oil and replace the drier. Vacuum and charge with R134 and see if it works. You don't need to do anything except what I've listed to convert from 12 to 134. You could still have other issues, but you won't know until you get it set up to work properly.
