If you want a car to drive around, don't buy that thing. You can find MUCH better for yourself if your budget is even in the $1k area.

Right on; I'm willing do go anywhere form SD to Seattle for the right car. If you know any good ones I'm all ears!

Here's the situation, I currently own a 2009 MS3, but want to sell it and buy something relatively cheap to drive around as my daily and have some fun with here and there. So after the loan pay off I'll have around $4k MAX that I want to spend, using the rest of the money for future mods, bills, and other fun stuff I want to do.

Yeah sounds like not so much as I had hoped.
Thank you for the advice and input.

Heck they are not worth much with out a dent . I'd check the vin # and run it to make sure it dont have a salvage title . With that dent in the rear the insurance companys would call it a total loss. But there is alot to look for on these so better have a shop look at it first unless your getting it for short money .

If it has over a 100k on it then chances are it has 5th gear pop out and the rear motor mount is shot along with cv axle boots torn .
Like others have mentioned these can be had for $2-3k with mods like a VE or det . Check around craigslist or the forums .

Aside from it have the badges in the wrong spot what motor is in it ? 1.6 or 2.0 ? Just curious if its a SE .

Mileage: 190,XXX

Supposed to be an SE-R, I don't have the VIN though. But after all the feedback so far, I don't think I'll pursue this one any longer. I've been looking for weeks now and am having trouble finding good cars, both via forums and CL or even Ebay. I just posed a WTB listing here so we'll see if I get any offers.

I'll buy it, if she does not have rust. May be not for that asking price, may be a little less. I just need some love. It looks un-molested. Those are hard to find.

Well, there is clearly rust at the right rear dent.

Yep, it is because they need to fix that area. But if you dont find rust any where else I think it will be ok. I've seen cars here with more damage than that and people transform them and they look great once they are done. If the motor is good and the trany too I'll buy it if I have the chance. It depends of how much you love to have a Classic SE-R. I will hate seen this one going to the crusher.

If you ask me, I would love to have a un-molested Classic. Also, may be somebody here also will love to have it.

That car is a project car. It need some restoration.

It depends how desperate u r for an SE-r. Unmolested b13 SE-r's are hard to come by now a days.. Now that car isn't too bad for being 21 years old and to survive on that condition besides that nasty hit on the quarter. If it's running good no knocks no 5th gear popout leaks anything that would keep from being a reliable DD price under $900 seems fair with a clean title but that dent really scares me, if that dent wasn't there 1500 seems ok.. Now salvage I would say 650-700.. In poor running condition unreliable $500..

I mean I bought a clean 91 ser in mint shape with a blown engine for 600, and another 91 in excelent running condition, ice cold ac, 240k on the clock no 5th gear popout, but was salvage due to being hit on the right rear bumper and paid 700 and cleaned her up.. So it's up to u on how bad u want it and what your willing to pay..
