Thread: 5th gear pop out or something else?

So lately I've been driving and every time I shift into fifth gear it starts to grind, but once it's in gear it'll stay
is this a sign of 5th gear pop out? or do I need something else?

might be.....mostly sounds like syncro's....or maybe somethings not lined up mount wise and causing 5th to be hard for the selector to find

that's what I was thinking, hmm really don't want to deal with syncros

I currently have 3rd gear pop out so i just watched the local junkyards and scored me a new to me tranny for $129.99 + $29.99 core....lucky for me i had a ga16 5speed to use as a core....sale that weekend too...i paid $119.10 total! haha
