Thread: Issue with my brakes.

So I press the pedal and its soft, but then press again right away and its WAY stiff.

Its a '92 SE-R with the AD22V upgrade (NX fronts)

Suggestions please.

when did you last bleed your brake lines?

I've had the car for three weeks. All I got to do in the short spurt of warm weather we've had was wiring and swap out my VC so I could sell my spare...

Ah maybe your Vacuum booster. With the car off pump your pedal til it is firm, start the car and if the pedal goes down then your vacuum booster is fine.

Also, bleed the brakes and let us know if that helps.

Will do. We're slated for another snowstorm tonight, could be a week before I even drive again.

Likely bad seals in your master cylinder. I had the same problem, which was cured by.....a new master cylinder!

prolly master cyl, but it's worth a try to bleed the brakes.

did you upgrade your master cylinder with the nx one? i have the same problem because im using the stock se-r master cylinder. i think once you upgrade the master cylinder to an nx or altima one, you shouldnt have any problems. i need to replace mine too.
