Lexan windows...
As most know, I'm putting my car on a diet. Any of you OG's have lexan windows? Curious to see thickness they used way back when. Anyone custom make theirs? This is something I would like to do. I searched and found one old thread about lexan windows and it died quickly. I know some of you guys have lightweight cars. A difference in weight would be great as well.

From what it looks like it should be 1/8" thin. For the front and rear you can use a template of your windshield. Rear sides you can re-use the old rubber molding and drill between. Front doors can be cut and riveted + 1/2" from the outside. I'm not sure about the weight though.

I just pulled a window out of a p11 last night and was amazed at how light it was. I also work with lexan alot. Mostly 3/16" thick. I am betting a p11 window out of 3/16" lexan would be heavier then just the glass. So it would have to be thinner then that.

Thanks fellas. Currently searching random websites that sells sheets of it. Only concern is having it crack and be a waste.

cracking lexan is no easy task. Let me know exactly what your looking for and I will see if I can help you out. I'm also local so that's a plus.

Basically looking to get the rear 1/4 windows in lexan. May need some material to make up two front windows depending how serious this diet becomes.

I would have no clue how big sentra windows are so just let me know dimensions of the piece of lexan your looking for and thickness. I could even cut the shapes out if you can provide me with a template but that might cost you a bit .

I used 1/8" on my car as that is the same thickness as std glass. The quarter windows are about 5lbs each and the lexan ended up being about 1 lb/side with screws and things. You cannot reuse the trim from the qrtr windows, so unless you want them set into the car, you'll have to use something to space them out about 3/4".
