Hey now....you could line up with a Geo Metro and whoop ass. Beat a fully loaded 18-wheeler off the line.
The good news is cops never even looked in my direction. And I was heavily involved in a whole bunch of illegal activities at the time. Made my living that way.
70-mph top end, downhill, with the wind.
The other good news was filling the tank about once a damn month. Folks would borrow my car for a 60-mile run up to Austin and back, and then ask if the fuel gauge was broken, cause it never moved.

One thing I don't miss is that damn speedo cable on the 91 cluster. Screw that. More headache than not. Interior goes to the 91 only because a low mileage 91-92 interior is unbeatable when spot on. The 94 interior's not bad, excellent condition & cushy for very long trips.
I'm glad I bought the 94 brand new, at the time it suited my needs.
Exterior & 1st year lowport with OBDI-94, clean interior 91, cluster 91.

Good insights. I beat you by a year into my '93.
Took it on a test-drive. Wanted one in black with no sunroof. It was the only black SE-R in several hundred miles. So, I had a sunroof.

That's amazing. I was like, 10 at the time that came out. I can't imagine what it would be like to take one of those home BRAND SPANKING NEW with 0 miles on it. Still with new car smell. Ahhh....

It was very, very, cool. My first, and only, new car purchase ever.
You were nine, about 4th grade, when I bought mine.
It still makes me smile, every single time I drive it. I still glance back every single time I park it.

Ex is long gone so I got the better of the deal. I will say this, there is nothing like a ride in a brand new B13 SE-R. Those that are original owners on the forum would agree. There is a "pure" feeling of control and power, unmolested. Knowing that Nissan could let anyone drive one of these right off the lot for so little and get so much is a secret few understand even to this day. Oh yeah...I'm that old.

Agreed on all of the above, well stated.
I'll add that on that very first test-drive, I thought "Nissan built this thing and tailored it just for me." Now, nearly 2-decades later and a whole bunch of focused modifying, I still feel the same way.
