Yep first car was an XE and got me into SE-R's once I heard about the faster model.

Still don't understand the lack of a tachometer in a manual tranny! I guess for cost reasons.

Haha my first car was a 4spd manual XE. Loved that car. Never lost a race haha. Only cars I challenged were my friends Hondas tho lol. Tough racing with no tach. It was... interesting.

I had a Rabbit diesel in college that was manual, no tachometer.

It was shift by ear.

Oh man, I can empathize with you. Back in the day, my family had a 1980 Rabbit Diesel. Very economical, but definately the very definition of S...L...O...W.

Yeah you can't get much slower than a rabbit diesel, lol. 0-60 in like 20 seconds

I don't get hung up on the differences between the dashes too much except I do prefer the 93-94 tach. I can't stand that pizza slice!

1994 is the best model by far. Lowport engine is a better head and intake design. Mine didn't come with airbags or ABS! Refrigerant is already converted to R134a for you. More preferable front bumper. Sweet faux hounds-tooth interior.

Excellent point, and I totally forgot about that. My 95 Miata also is R143a from the factory, and the last year for OBDI, both very important points.
