You missed the vids with the QR in there previously? You have already been STFU on our forum by 2JR, don't try to save face on here. They were doing the same thing with the QR in their car and they pulled it to up the ante and enter a different class.

Too many of you on here are one track minded and are stuck on straight line drag racing, this isn't 1999 anymore guys....people take FWD cars on actual road courses now! Wake up and realize.

I think the point that you and most on the QR forums are missing is that reliability aside, stock flaws/positives aside, dollar for dollar the SR-VE has as of now been proven to be the more capable engine. There's no way to dance around that. Numbers don't lie.

To make power to need to get alot of air in and you need to get it out as fast as possible. That's were head design comes into play and r/s ratio factors into the engines overall power potential. I'm not going to post on comparisons on r/s ratio's of the two engines because we all know the QR's is horrible (and yes, believe it or not you do need 8k+ rpm to make power) but look @ these numbers:

Comparing Flow:
Stock VE heads flow 260in/180ex cmf's.

Travis @ fi-r's stage 3 QR head flows 264in/211ex cfm's.

A comparable VE head to fi-r's stage 3 QR head flows 398+/-in/290+/-ex cfm's.

Comparing Power:
The highest whp n/a QR is still RTR's Sunbelt built engine that make 227whp (258hp on the engine dyno) w/ and EFI Tech/Motec ecu on 104oc. There are more than a handful of budget/stock parts built 2.0 VE's matching or making close to that power on chipped ecus and pump gas. Comparing the Sunbelt/RTR's QR25 #'s to the 2.2, 2.3 & 2.4 VE guys wouldn't even be fair.

I'm sorry QR guys, but the #'s don't lie.

Ahhhh, did you miss my post about why the drive by wire system on the spec v is an issue for road racers?? As well as the cars other inherent issues??

You are quiet selective in your responses.............

And in case you missed it

Thats my last post on this topic.
Good day

I believe you're wrong there pal...they dont have a valid argument, all i here is ME ME ME ME ME have done this and this, NOT THE COMMUNITY has had luck and did this this this and than, SR's have gone 9's, FWD and RWD, and the mazworx green sr powered car has gone low 7's...there luck ALONE is not proof to show that the QR is a good platform to mod, they may have had good luck but i dont see many more having such good luck...b15u's own members also do say that the QR sux and many of them have left that community or have gone onto the VQ which has some of the same flaws but is a much much better engine than the QR...i have a local guy here that was on he b15 forums that did a crazy, very extreme build and the car only made 500-520whp on quite a bit a boost and went 12's with a million dollar build...stop arguing with SR guys about your unicorn QR super engine, it sux...END OF STORY, CLOSE THE DOOR, TURN OFF THE LIGHTS...there is no need to try and prove your point any longer, we know the facts and soon enough all those fangirls will see the light

i have yet to see a 650+whp QR car, have yet to see a 9/10/11sec turbo QR car...have yet to see a successfull all out wild build from a QR, not a destroked one either, but i dont think there has been on of those either

That's only one part of the discussion though, people bashed the overall reliability as well under boost, and it's been proven time and time again that 275-300whp on low boost will last an extremely long time, even with abuse. So I agree with the hard flow numbers and all that, however, a 230whp QR with just cams and a race header is something that is being toyed with as we speak.

BANGO!!!!!!! hit the nail on the head...there it is in BLACK and WHITE
read it and wheep, take that to the bank and cash it, hard to swallow that an old tired 20 year old engine is still better

duuuuuuude, YES unreliable under boost, the QR has an OPEN deck...unlike the SR's closed deck construction that can handle 600+whp on STOCK sleaves, and dont argue because ghettomax did it back in something like 2000/2001 in that area somewhere

There are destorked QR's running around, few but they make power.

A 500whp QR has run 11's with a shabby driver so maybe the guy you know couldn't drive to save his life. 10's you ask, I won't be surprised if a QR breaks into the 10's this year with a full interior and spare tire.

The QR record is 11.7 boosted and 12.68 or 12.28 NA (i forgot now)

You sir have not been paying attention, so don't talk out of your ass without doing your proper research, why are you even on the B15 forums if you have no idea what's going on in the B15 world?
