We'll be finishing the wiring this weekend, putting some miles on it before some tuning and tweaking. Then it'll be running a 16 hour enduro at Road Atlanta. We'll keep you updated.

well GOOOOOOOD FOR YOU(with christain baile accent) ill be waiting for the post that will go like this

"well guys(while pushing up his glasses to the bridge of his nose) we made it 7 and a half hours into the race and then had a terminal failure and blew the rods out of the super QR engine, but i have some good news, the race was won by a random entrant in a stock G20 with 300k miles on it...i was so impressed"

see this

my QR powered specV=big pile of stinky baby shit

now GTFO, go back to QueeR country

there are guys here who have done 500whp plus and guys who have done almost 700whp turbo. there is a 86x86 sr20 that did 1001whp.

there are guys here who have done 260-290whp all motor ve's.

so im not sure what exactly you are trying to show us.

cleary you realise your on a sr20 forum. were not saying the qr sucks, its a cool motor but its not in the same class as the sr20. thats just a fact man, no ones trying to hate or put the qr or spec v down.

trust me when i say we as nissan people yearn for a high reving, stout, reliable 4 cyclinder in a light compact chassis.

nissan didnt deliver when they did came out with the qr.

is it a good motor, with out a doubt, but agian like i said, cc for cc the qr is unable to trump or even be on par with the sr. thats just the facts my man.

stratton.

Show me a stock internal DE or VE that's made 250whp NA.

No one is trying to put the spec v down but someone said it doesn't deserve the SE-R badge? LMFAO WUT?

The only thing that took the motor out was when the vac line to the wastegate popped off because it was slightly too large of a line and boost went to who knows what on the t28 id have to guess 30+lbs, all that happened was it cracked the ring lands on two cylinders and broke the plug ground straps. Put new plugs in and still abused the hell out of that motor for another almost 15k miles at 14 lbs of boost on cracked ring lands and still whomped on the hondas and so on. It finally got to the point where the walls were soo scarred from the broken lands that it had very low compression and smoked badly. So we threw another 450 shipped jdm de in and soo far its back to happy boosting.

What would have happened if your wastegate line popped. Kaboom, there goes the rod out the block. If your motor is not built Ill say this, Your a lucky one that it has lasted this long and either its because you dont romp on it very much or its just a miracle. lol. Because ive seen QR's even well tuned most dont last to much more than about 275-300whp before putting an inspection window in the block. And thats the truth. This is years and years of seeing that happen. I know there are the occasional lucky ones that survive at 300whp but probably not as abused as we do to the SR's.

Ashton, there are literally TONS of boosted QR's that are daily driven, abused whatever that are running strong. STOCK INTERNALS. I've personally worked on one that had about 50k miles of hard driving until the motor was pulled to be replaced with a built one to go for more power, that same motor that was pulled is now in an NA car that is running like a champ.

Uhm...he has a lemon and the dealer is an idiot, a lady friend of mine has a 2010 SV AWD edition, it idles fine, there are no hiccups. Take it to another damn dealer. Her's has no vibrations or rpm fluctuation, and she drives the piss out of it.

If you hate it that much then why the fuck did you buy one? You're a douchebag bro. One of the biggest I've ever seen.

And if/when it does make it all the way through will you STFU and leave the forums alone?

when it does make it through, haaaaa lol...even IF it does, no i wont...sorry but we posted this here and had our own little discusion, whatever you have it, and you b15 fangirls came here to try and ridicule us about how GREAT or a unicorn the QR is...go back to QRville and stay there...this is no place for dreamers like you and your fangirls

And did the B13 or B14 ever get the V-spec name? NOPE....so please STFU and keep it moving.

You keep building things that have been done a million times, stay in your little safe box.

I used to own an SR b15 myself and I loved it, but why toss money at something that has been sorely overdone? Try something new and exciting, and then why be sore about it when people are innovative and trying to spin gold from straw!

Big J, I respect the drive to be different but as mentioned before, this swap has been done at least 5 years ago. Exactly the same thing what you guys are doing; sub frame, suspension & brakes swap. I've seen it. It was pretty cool, but unfortunately it wasn't up to the standards that the owner expected, but he came from the SR20 side and wanted to try something different. He eventually went back.

I think its cool that you guys are sticking to the QR. If its something that you feel proven with and its obviously working enough that you guys are winning your classes, why switch up?

you fuckers are the sore ones about it, we were here takling about how dumb the build is but different, then the b15 fangirls got all buthurt and started posting here...1 guy from here posted there and said "wow awesome, way to think outside the box but why not a simple VE build and BAM everyone bashed him so i started to bash the QR and for what it is, POS...the b13/14 never got the name for IDK what reason, Vspec came out on the skyline when it one a particular race in i believe 2000, when it won it again they changed it to vspec II meaning "victorious special"

i am not building the same old run of the mill setup, it is VERY much so different...high comp/big bore/turbo ve...now NOBODY has tried to build a high comp turbo engineas of yet, there is another maybe 2 going on right now but the highest comp that has been used and ill admit if i am wrong has been 9:1, where i am at 12.5:1. so i am way outside of that little SAFE BOX...i think i would be more inside "the danger zooooooooooone" i love that song

I don't know who you are speaking of but I have seen what the 2JR guys are capable of, they can set up a car right! Currently they are pushing Vipers and Vettes off the track with their VQ race car, and breaking track records while doing so.

IIRC Kojima built the high comp turbo car (Nitto SpecV)

Also to show how much of an idiot you are.

VSPEC means VICTORY SPECIFICATION. Not victorious special? WTF??? You pulled that out of your ass didn't you?
