You have missed my point by a far mark, but I'll let you figure that one out yourself

As well It seems you are quiet ignorant to the SR (as far as power potential and actual over 4 and 500whp ones are concerned)

There is a inherent difference with the "big dogs" around here as compared to other Nissan (namely B15U) forums; they tend to stay in hiding and are more worried with making strides in the development of the SR engine as compared posting on here. The upper East Coast as well as down south in the Florida/Miami area are paces where numerous over 500 hp SR (FWD mind you) engines seem to congregate...........

But again, with the inherent "shortfalls" of the QR, I (personally) have a hard time believing many will look upon the QR has a proper work mule and spend proper development money.

Would like to see someone keep it simple, ditch the drive by wire. Make a real intake manifold w/ q45 TB or larger, do some real headwork to one, nice 4-1 header from 2J, 3" exhaust, custom cams, high compression, standalone and see where the QR comes out to.

Now keep in mind, you guys have had tons of support from inception, the QR is a truck motor that has had little to no aftermarket support. What we have done with it is simply amazing at this point, upstart companies like 2J Racing are making things happen for us and they will make this QR pwn a similarly modded VE.

I'm not arguing, tooting my own horn or anyone else's. Give us a fair listen....why get panties in bunches? I bet the lot of you have never driven a QR powered vehicle. So don't speak of what you know nothing about.

Go take a stock specv for a spin, there are always some for sale more or less. Then report back. If it doesn't make you smile then i'll rest my case.

The fact being if a 2.5L QR cant put out numbers that some 2, 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3L VE's have put out, then whats the point in wasting money on the QR.

I just dont see a QR making 250+whp which has been done by a couple 2.2's and 2.3's. Not to mention the 2.4's.

And yes we are talking built ve's compared to not soo built QR's but thats why I said id like to see someone dump some serious coin into the QR as those that have done so with the VE and see where it stands in comparison.

Did you even bother to read the comments in the thread on our forum?

SR's came in what? A bazillion cars? The QR came in just a handful. Companies won't spend if they don't see a market for it, yes the QR market is small, but are we any less deservant of good quality parts that will make power? Nope, that's why FI-R in LA & 2J in GA is doing it.

Driven several stock to bolted on specs. It just doesnt have that, make me smile powerband and engine sound. N/A enthusiasts love the high rpm sound and a long put you back in the seat powerband. While the torque is definitely different and noticable it just doesnt do it for me.

Taking it down with which one of these POS's? You just went too far with the VQ nonsense.

What's the point on wasting money on a VE that is old, tired and boring. Why conform? Why do what the masses are doing?

America is no longer the land of milk and honey, the money isn't flowing like it did so many years ago. People are looking at their bottom lines nowadays instead of dumping money into race cars....well at least I am.
