There are the good driver exceptions that can hit the high 14's but again not many. Again this is on street tires. My 14.3 was on street tires. Ive been around drag racing a long time personally walked many many specV's with a bolt on DE. A ve'd b13 will and always will tear a bolted on QR a new one all day long.

Matter fact before I even ever boosted my car, i put a jdm motor in, stock intake, stock exhaust, stock manifold, only thing done was advanced timing to 19 deg and run premium. I had two people I knew with bolted on Specs and ran both of them the same night and spanked both of them. Bone stock se-r with a jdm motor and advanced timing. Full weight, A/C and all back before I ever removed any of that stuff.

So again, i dont need proof, proof is in the numbers. Look how many basic bolt on VE's with n1 cams are well into the 13's all motor. Quite a few. How many all motor specs are there in the 13's. Probably can count them on one hand.

A bolted DE won't hold a candle to a bolted QR, I drive both on a regular basis!!!!

I have no doubt you spanked whoever and tore up the ass of many specv's, maybe you got lucky and they were all shit drivers?

I drove both a b15 se and the qr and honestly i felt the de powerband was more to my liking thats just my opinion.

Also a bolted de in a b13 chassis will def take down a bolted qr in a b15 chassis and if you dont think that you are naive. I will give credit where credit is due but open your mind a little here.

Nope, my first se-r with boltons didnt need to be lucky. I am a great driver and my times on the strip proved that. While specs struggled to hit mid 15's at 89-90mph I was deep in the low 14's at 96-97mph consistently. Numbers dont lie. Back then it was a 91 se-r w/ sunroof, abs, a/c and all. Probably close to 2500 lbs with me in it back then. Again numbers dont lie.

Now whether or not these chollo guys with the spec V's were good drivers or not. lol. Well I wont even answer that. Lets just put it this way. One of them was soo proud of himself that he f'd up the syncros on a "bullet proof trans" and bent the shift fork. Goes to show you how "good" of a driver he was. What an idiot.

But we did both from a stop and a roll and it was the same results, You cant really mess up a roll race.

Id really like to See 2J take that challenge and do both a QR and VE powererd race car with equal suspension and chassis mods, same b15 6 speed trans and so on and put both to a test around the same road course and see which one comes out faster. If the QR wins ill have no problem admitting I was wrong. But I just dont see that happening.

That's not going to happen, those guys are at the cutting edge of QR/VQ tech, with Uprev the community is going places. Yeah so a B15 QR or VQ hasn't broken 10's yet, only mid 11's for now, All motor QR's are still in the 12's at best and there is only one that I know of, it's still one FYI.

Keep in mind the SR is now what 21 years old? The QR a mere 10, so lets just say in 11 years....who knows WTH the QR will be? We don't even have a custom intake mani yet, something that has been available here for ages for the SR guys.

Things are happening, slowly but surely. The QR is a great motor, it's not the almighty fanboi SR, but it does have a strong following AND IT IS VERY CAPABLE.

Im not saying it doesnt have the potential. Like I said in the other thread 2J is finally giving the QR the shot it hasnt had and thats cool and I give them props. Its hard to do aftermarket intake manifolds for those cars because of the whole drive by wire crap. Thats the biggest struggle so far. But so far 2J has found some pretty good power by custom adapting the B16 intake manifold which if i recall doesnt have the multi runner crap that the b15's have.

So again good for them but yeah development for the QR is still a decade behind the SR's and even the VE's.

P.S. Thanks for simply ignoring my link and the inherent "issues" the QR has B15NewYork

We don't need an 8k rev limit to prove anything... #jussayn.

Right because it's a decade newer. I have no idea but in 2001, after 10 years of SR whoredom, were there any 500hp SR's?

I'm just asking....

Yeah, a couple. Back in 01-03 there were a couple 500+whp se-r's back then. Low 10 and a couple high high 9 second cars back then. Again plagued by trans issues but thats always been there. Now with the Spec V trans swap easily available, weve solved that issue.
