Thread: Clutch pedal issue?

Hey everybody im new to the forum and the game and here to stay. Ok so i bought a 93 Se-r not too long ago and it seems that the clutch pedal was adapted, so now my pedal is really low about 1-2 inches off the floor im surprised i can get the gears in, so does anyone have any suggestions on how i can go about fixing this thank you.

Adjust it, if no more room then u got to replace it

It's adjustable under the dash, but you will also need to adjust the cable (up under the battery area) to accommodate the change in the pedal position. During this process, you may find that you need a spacer of some sort at the place where the cable passes though a black L-shaped bracket that bolts to the tranny. Some clutches don't work with the OEM cable length and need the spacer. This might even be why the pedal is mis-adjusted. If the clutch is healthy, you should be able to straighten this out (unless the pedal is screwed up somehow.)
