Is there something wrong with this caliper?
Was getting ready to paint my AD22 calipers, and noticed the left one has significantly more play in it then the right one. Took a little video to show.
I can rock the left one side to side , but the right one slides evenly on the 2 slider pins. These are re manufactured from Rockauto, just wondering if I should put it on the car or send it back? Or is there anything I can do to fix it?

in the video it looks like the left one has more grease in it and is making a vacuum so it dont move as much. there fine put them on.

looks like grease/vacuum just make sure both are greased up really good.

I had one like that when I replaced all 4 of my calipers on my B13. They are remaufactered but you should not have a problem with them just make sure you turn or replace your rotors.

not sure if the vid shows the problem good enough, the one on the left I can tilt/rotate the caliper side to side within the bracket. Almost like the slide pins are too small for the holes. The one on the right just slides in and out evenly on both sides

how much play? if more than 5-10 mm then I would try and get another one. I noticed differences in the manufactuering process of them as well. They will swap it out for you.

Yeah its def more than 10mm play.. no amount of grease is going to stop it from rocking.

I called rockauto & they will ship me a replacement one for free tomorrow

your fine...the bracket bolts to the spindle and the caliper floats and it doesnt matter how much if moves off the car because it wont move when you put it on and bleed them.

Hey man I just replaced mine. I noticed front caliper has 2 different bolts.I know its a 14mm but pins are different. Top bolt has tiny pin and bottom bolt has a little bigger pin. I got mine from Autozones. It came with exact same bolts. Which is not right. it was really loose. You can see it on this pic leftside bolt suppose to be on the bottom hole(bigger) and other on upper hole(smaller). I hope it will help you.
