Thread: how the heelll do you get the speedo off?

off the tranny it will not bdge !
I've removed the srcrew now it wont budge

tap it lightly it should twist around and out .

tried that wont work it's like stuck for some reason

the little plate that holds it in or just the actual cable?

the plate that holds it in, I have 91 I think it might be different on newer models,
but it's just the plate, can I remove the cable without removing the plate?

i tried removing mines once, i ended up buying another whole new speedo gear, mines didnt budge either, i broke the plate trying to get it out. mines a 91 also

There is a little thing around the cable at the base of the cable that you need to unscrew to get the cable out. You dont need to take ouy the screw to remove the cable

this....unless you are trying to remove the drive gear.

well we're swapping the engine and I have to put the new main seal

Are you trying to remove just the cable or the gear as well
