Fuel gauge issue
OK I recently picked up a 94 Ser with a 2001 g20 sr20 in it and IV notices that when I fill the tank the gauge only goes to just above three quaters tank also it goes from full to empty in 6 gallons would the sending unit cause this?

My B13 does the SAME thing. Also my B14 Fuel gauge needle isn't moving, this may be attributed to overfilling it on my last fill up (gas came out of the tank :O) but any advice on how to test the sending unit before I spend $100 to replace it would be greatly appreciate it

I'd test the sender. With a DVOM set on Ohms, and the sender out of the vehicle, you should be seeing 4-6 Ohms at a full tank, 27-35 at half a tank, and 73-85 with an empty tank. Hope this helps some. Goodluck!

Hopefully I'll have a better idea of what to probe and everything when I have the sending unit out. If not I'll take pictures :P haha thank you OKB this is exactly what I needed

I read that if you open the access plate under the back seat you NEED to replace the O ring so It's safe to say that I need to order one

I didn't replace mine when I did my pump, but that could be why I smell gas when I drive her. Haha. To check the sender, it should be the outer most pins on the connecter, I believe. Do you know how to use a multi-meter? If so, just keep checking for continuity between pins until you find it, then move the float arm up and down and see if your resistance changes and that'll mean you found out the two correct pins on the connector.
