Thread: rattling noise help

So my car make a nasty rattling noise whenI start her up (it's been doing that for quite a bit now. But I thought it was my starter
But now it starts to do it when I'm in the 2-3k rpm's
Any suggestion?

Not hearing the noise, but knowing these cars like the back of my hand, my first guess would be your timing chain is probably starting to stretch.
2 things you can do, replace the timing chain tensioner with a new factory Nissan tensioner (which has been updated to extend a little further) or take off the valve cover and remove the upper timing chain guide which is most likely what the chain is hitting on.
