Clutch Cable Question
My pedal has been making a bit of a noise and my cable feels like it has a bit of play. I have adjusted it and it was fine for a little, but it went back to having that play. I bought a new cable, but I've been reading up online more, and I've heard about lubricating the cable. What specifically should I lube it with? And do any of you think that is my problem, or should I just replace the cable anyway? I had a friend of mine take a look at it and he thinks it looks to be in good shape. I just want to get your opinions.

when i swapped out my cable we used tranny oil to lube it. i hung it up and just put oil on the cable and let it run into the cable.

Well I took a look at it last night. Turns out, my cable is alright, but my pedal springs are rusted to hell. Will the GA16 pedal fit? I'm figuring it's all the same stuff because it's the same car, just different motor.

Yes all B13 pedals are the same. And you can use a silicon spray lube like this. Walmart has their own brand, as does many stores. It's some good stuff, resists water and such.

Not trying to jack or anything but how to do you swap from cable to hydralic if you want to?

Get all of the hydraulic components from a donor car and install them in yours. Some modification/fabrication required. I think all of the guys that do the spec-v 6 speed swap have to convert? I'm not sure, but I think you can use the G20 stuff to convert? Just search, it's been talked about before by people that did it.

I'm confused, Brandon. You said the cable was "definitely messed up" on NICO, now you say it's not so?

You need to get glasses, son...
