It's a little plastic sleeve inside the hinge, look for it. Bad ones look like a "C" instead of an "O"... the gap that's broken out is where you're getting the play in the door.

does anyone know if the hinges have ever been improved so it won't happen as easily? can you get b14 hinges? are b13 and b14 the same?

I actually just replaced the pins and bushings in all (4) hinges with this kit. Bushings fit fine into the stamped hinges, and pins are bit longer than stock but work fine.

I dont think the hinges have been improved! just buy new ones! I know some guys that put a greaseable sleeve around the door pin itself but thats to much just buy a new hinge
